Our Work - Daniel Thwaites
Daniel Thwaites
Who they are:
Daniel Thwaites are a large, traditional pub company based in Lancashire. With an estate of more than 375 pubs, they have a rich history of brewing beer for over 200 years.
What we did:
A natural extension of Daniel Thwaites’ successful public notice boards, another range of posters was developed which would give individual pub landlords the option to personalise their pub signage. The different poster designs were tailored to work with particular regions in which pubs were located, while still giving landlords in the same area flexibility to customise.

What we did:
The website and content Chocolate designed was specifically geared towards encouraging patrons to visit and contribute. Landlords were able to plan and announce events, transforming their businesses into local ‘community hubs’ where people gather and exchange ideas.

What we did:
With regional pubs in decline around the country, Daniel Thwaites challenged Chocolate to deliver a marketing package which would revitalize their core customer base. Chocolate created a multi-faceted communications package that encouraged local pubs to ‘actively engage with their community.’

What we did:
Chocolate created prominent point of sale and signage, both internal and external, with a strong focus on brand image. Public notice boards were put up to announce coming events; pub patrons could also actively participate by putting up their own notices both onsite and online.
The move was a resounding success with the client as underperforming pubs rapidly picked up and began bucking the industry trend.
