Modello
Who they are:
Modello Bar and Kitchen are situated in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. The Modello brand regularly compliments its contemporary Mediterranean dining experience with a number of different live events.
What we did:
The creative team at Chocolate designed a full set of menus to go with the company’s newly updated brand identity. As well as the regular food and drinks menus, separate menus for small children and for Christmas were also produced. They received an highly enthusiastic response from the client and customers.
Dairy Crest
Who they are:
Dairy Crest Food Service are one of the biggest foodservice suppliers in the UK. More famous as leaders in the manufacture and supply of dairy goods, they also deliver a large range of fresh products to the catering and retail sector.
What we did:
British Food Fortnight is an national trade fair held every year across the UK from September to October. Chocolate designed and produced a poster/leaflet combination concertina to showcase the Dairy Crest range of British made products.
Milk & More
Who they are:
Part of the Dairy Crest group, milk&more deliver fresh milk and everything dairy to your door. They offer a huge and ever-expanding range of essentials to over 1.4 million homes all over the UK.
What we did:
milk&more asked Chocolate to create an accompanying leaflet which would explain how to switch to their online delivery service with a simple 5 step process. To encourage people to switch and boost sales further, discount offers only available online were prominently displayed.
Dairy Crest
Who they are:
Dairy Crest Food Service are one of the biggest foodservice suppliers in the UK. More famous as leaders in the manufacture and supply of dairy goods, they also deliver a large range of fresh products to the catering and retail sector.
What we did:
The new Dairy Crest 90 page annual brochure contains stock and ordering information for the entire Dairy Crest product range. The finished brochure was sent out to 35,000 customers across the UK.
Harry Ramsdens
Who they are:
Established in 1928, Harry Ramsdens is the largest chain of fish and chip restaurants nationwide. Today there are 35 Harry Ramsdens restaurants in operation across the UK.
What we did:
A redesign was commissioned for all restaurant table menus and above counter light boxes at Harry’s takeaway and quick service restaurants throughout the UK. Chocolate analysed the customer journey to make clear choice and up sells priority in the design of each menu. This ensured customers had a clear understanding of their options and their prices.
Borough Parade
Who they are:
Borough Parade is a community shopping centre located in Chippenham to the east of Bath. The centre has a variety of boutique shops alongside large brand stores like Waitrose and New Look.
What we did:
Borough Parade asked Chocolate to create a new, revitalized environment for shoppers and a centralized brand which local audiences would recognize. Corporate guidelines and a prominent signage trail were developed for the centre, which met with great success.
Ravello
Who they are:
Ravello are a small chain of cafes and sandwich shops with 5 locations in and around Westminster, London.
What we did:
The final stage of rebranding Ravello involved designing a bespoke menu solution for their units. Point of sale materials like instore posters, signs and menu boards had to be included as well.
Cubic Center
Who they are:
The Cubic Center is a striking new office building in the flourishing district of Pipera, in North Bucharest, Romania. Chocolate were commissioned to give the building the necessary materials for their sales team to let the space to large European businesses.
What we did:
A detailed brochure of The Cubic Center was produced to mail to potential customers. Technical information like PDFs of floorplans was included as part of a targeted effective marketing plan. Much of the space is now let.
IKEA SCR
Who they are:
IKEA SCR (IKEA Shopping Centres Russia) saw an opportunity in the Russian retail marketplace to develop a series of huge shopping centres bolted onto their super stores. IKEA entered the Russian market in 2000 when their first store opened in Moscow.
What we did:
Chocolate successfully pitched for IKEA SCR in conjunction with Innesco (PR). The B2B marketing suite involved trade brochures, leaflets, interactive flash presentations and a website.
Trinity Walk Trade
Who they are:
Trinity Walk is a brand new shopping centre development in Wakefield. It has more than 60 new shops which include most of the largest UK fashion brands.
What we did:
Widespread advertising and retail industry invitations were part of the trade marketing campaign Chocolate created for Trinity Walk. The second consumer campaign consisted of press advertising, billboards, bus sides and radio ads.

Dairy Crest Food Service are one of the biggest foodservice suppliers in the UK. More famous as leaders in the manufacture and supply of dairy goods, they also deliver a large range of fresh products to the catering and retail sector.
What we did:
Chocolate provide an ongoing service to Dairy Crest Foodservice, including print design and digital web services. To date we have produced exhibitions, brochures, sales packs, Flash based internal presentations and a vast number of sector specific sales leaflets aimed at increasing sales levels. Our work has helped them to achieve many of their targets.
Cote
Who they are:
Cote are a chain of French Bistros located across the UK. In 2009 they won the Good Food Guide award for “Best Value Restaurant in the UK.”
What we did:
The team at Chocolate designed, produced and executed a local marketing campaign with hand deliveries of bespoke invitations and menus to a local audience. This boxed promotion pack and leaflet received widespread customer response during the campaign.
Alleggra
Who they are:
Alleggra develop and supply innovative ingredient alternatives to the foodservice industry. Their patented egg-replacement technology is key to the creation of healthier, lower cost pasta, dressings and baked products.
What we did:
Alleggra required marketing collateral to promote their products to the food service sector. Chocolate produced posters and leaflets with clever messaging to engage readers and drive them to the Alleggra website to find out more information.
Uppercrust adverts
Who they are:
Baguette brand Upper Crust is a well-known sight in the UK and a popular food on-the-go alternative at travel locations across Europe in particular. In total, there are over 100 Upper Crust units across 17 countries.
What we did:
Chocolate were commissioned to design a series of offer-based press adverts to promote the Uppercrust brand. This was the first time Upper Crust had advertised in its long history. A series of conceptual adverts were produced which featured in The Metro and Evening Standard. Redemption figures were huge and recall high.
Ixxys Bagels
Who they are:
Ixxy’s Bagels are a large producer of New York style gourmet bagels. They produce both white label and own brand products which can be found in many of the larger supermarket chains in the UK.
What we did:
Chocolate has produced a whole range of promotions for Ixxy’s helping to entice customers instore to make a purchase. This has included designs for retail packaging, a series of posters and point of sale and a range of leaflets.
Choice
Who they are:
Choice Sandwiches are sold in outlets in service stations and contract catering units across the UK.
What we did:
Chocolate were commissioned to design sandwich packs and posters to promote the Choice sandwich range. Contemporary illustrations were designed and featured on all the advertising.
Patisserie Valerie
Who they are:
Patisserie Valerie Group are a chain of boutique continental bakery and confectionery stores in south England. Along with sister companies Druckers and Baker & Spice, the group has been in operation since 1926.
What we did:
Chocolate were challenged by Patisserie Valerie management to increase revenue in one of their best performing units within a fixed budget. Chocolate assessed the customer journey and redesigned Patisserie’s instore communication, creating simple and effective pieces which offered the right choice at the right point.
Birley Sandwiches
Who they are:
Birley Sandwiches are a chain of shops in central London that sell delicious sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. They won “Specialist Sandwich Bar Chain of the Year” in 2007 and 2008.
What we did:
To help increase their retail space, Chocolate designed an attractive B2B marketing brochure to promote the Birley Sandwiches business. The brochure focussed on the extremely high standard and quality of their food.
Discovery Networks
Who they are:
Discovery Networks are a broadcast based company responsible for a group of television channels including Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Discovery Real Time and Home & Living Channel.
What we did:
Chocolate successfully pitched and were retained to design, produce and distribute ‘Highlights’, the network’s monthly listings magazine. Following the ongoing success of the publication Chocolate were further commissioned to develop press advertising campaigns, bespoke invitations, trade brochures and targeted media sales initiatives.
EK Centre
Who they are:
EK Centre is the second largest shopping centre in Scotland, located 10 miles south east of Glasgow. As well as a wide range of retail shops and food plazas, the centre also hosts a cinema, ice rink and bingo club.
What we did:
The services of Chocolate were engaged in partnership with Halogen Limited (PR) to help build a suite of marketing materials to accompany a multi-million pound refurbishment program. We developed a new logo and a bold creative campaign which was rolled out across trade press, sales brochures and hoardings.
The campaign gained huge industry recall and many empty units were let.
Harry Ramsdens
Who they are:
Established in 1928, Harry Ramsdens is the largest chain of fish and chip restaurants nationwide. Today there are 35 Harry Ramsdens restaurants in operation across the UK.
What we did:
Chocolate were asked to design new store interiors, point of sale materials and press advertising for Harry Ramsdens. These included instore posters, menus, display boards, leaflets and press ads.
La Tasca
Who they are:
La Tasca is a large chain of Spanish Tapas restaurants in over 70 locations across the UK. Their brand message is to bring alive the look and feel of the real Spain.
What we did:
The design package we created brought us much acclaim and helped La Tasca raise their profile and build their customer base. From store frontage redesign to illustration and print of all menus, leaflets and point of sale, Chocolate were responsible for revolutionizing their corporate image.
Tri-Star
Who they are:
Tri-Star are one of the largest food packaging suppliers in the UK. Formed in 1991, the company produces a wide range of disposable and environmentally friendly products.
What we did:
Chocolate were asked by Tri-Star to add some sparkle to their marketing material. After a press advertising campaign, new photography, a new website and a striking new brochure, Tri-Star continues to see large growth on an annual basis in an ever more challenging marketplace.
Select Service Partner
Who they are:
Select Service Partner is widely recognized as the primary provider and operator of restaurant and café brands to the UK railway and airport trades. Their portfolio includes nationwide brands like Upper Crust, Millies Cookies and M&S Simply Food.
What we did:
Over a 10 year period Chocolate helped revolutionize the way SSP has built, designed and marketed its units to an ever more savvy consumer. We were involved in the initiation and development of several of their most successful brands right from the outset and continue to supply them with a full list of services from bespoke point of sale, web design and build to trade brochure and corporate signage.
Mermaid Quay
Who they are:
Mermaid Quay is a modern waterfront shopping centre based in Cardiff, Wales. It is famous for its amazing views and open air restaurants.
What we did:
Chocolate worked with Halogen (PR) with a view to improving Mermaid Quay’s brand image and increasing consumer awareness. We created a new improved logo package, a trade and consumer website, email campaign and refreshed signage trail.
We also developed a strong marketing campaign and hoardings to attract new tenancies. As a result, Mermaid Quay secured a host of top-end tenants such as Wagamama and Côte.
